Well, who can forget the bumbling adventures of inspector Jacques Clouseua in the eternal 'Pink Panther" movie-series. I for one, have not missed any of the sequels thus far but when I happened to stumble upon this page ,yeah you're right, I was taken aback. What we have here is a character called 'Sophie' ,played by none other than Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (bear in mind the movie is in production/awaiting release).In the movie Rai plays one of the detectives alongside Alfred Molina. The pair joins forces with French police detective Jacques Clouseau, played by Steve Martin, to catch the thief who has been stealing artifacts around the world.During film breaks, Aishwarya, 33, hung around the set with hubby-of-four-months Abhishek Bachchan. Slowly by surely, Rai is making her way through Hollywood. She has an even bigger role in her next film Singularity, a war drama co-starring Brendan Fraser. So, for the first time an Indian-lady will be involved in the famous series and I'm sure, as always, the movie will put on a blockbuster show for all of us and I can be seen eagerly waiting for it.
